SHADOWS OF GENDER

Shadows of Gender is a photographic series in which large gender identity symbols, shaped from clay, encounter a space of light and shadow.

The clay becomes an image of identity as something living and changeable, something that can be created, shaped, altered, and reinterpreted. Through the encounter between the heavy, physical forms and the fleeting shadows, the series explores the tension between the visible and the hidden, the defined and the open.

The images invite reflection on gender as both a symbol, a personal experience, and a part of humanity’s ongoing story of self-understanding.
